Pretty City Lights

Photo A Day # 288

Late one at work. Not because of the beer-a-mid, but actually because of work. Thank you beer-a-mid for providing the photo of the day. . . or should I thank whoever drank/created said beer-a-mid? Who knows? Thank you both! Cheers!

I don't even know what to say about this picture;
it just makes me sad.

Photo A Day # 277

The city sometimes gets me down about my photography, but ever since I started looking for these little bits of creativity sprinkled throughout the city I can't wait for work to be done so I can travel the streets to look for them.

Dad: "A picture of a salamander on some green moss would be really cool, but they are probably all burrowed down now."

Jamie lifts one rock and voila!

Photo A Day # 268

They sky turned magical tonight when I got off work. The rain clouds had passed and just a sky of fluffy clouds remained. On my walk I saw this boat out on the water. I wondered where he was going? What he was doing? Was he out there through the rain? Does he feel the same peace on the water as I do in the woods? Is he by himself or does he have a companion?

I stood there watching him for at least 10 minutes before I decided he would make a great photo of the day. Cheers to your many adventures my seafaring friend.

The combination of lack of sleep and long hours at work produces glowing trees. Crazy glowing city trees! I prefer Dundas where there's just normal non-glowing trees.

There are many signs in the city. Sometimes the most interesting ones are not paid for by massive corporations, but by an individual just wanting to express ones self.

Photo A Day # 264

Taking a moment to enjoy the scenery on the drive home today. Being in a city where you have nothing to look at but skyscrapers can really start to get you down when your used to having forests and wildlife everywhere you turn. I call this picture "enjoying the little things"

Photo A Day # 263

I'm going to be real sad when the condo goes in next door to the office and trades my wonderful view for a brick wall.
