Photo A Day #322

A macro lens does not qualify as a telephoto lens, but hey I work with what I got.

Photo A Day #319

Today the Christmas spirit went into over-drive in the office. They hung mistletoe from the elevator, strung up the intern in lights and they even purchased little trees. . . and a little account person.

Photo A Day # 302

Have you ever heard of Winnebago Man aka The Angriest Man on Earth? I hadn't until the other day. Then I'm walking home tonight I see all these stickers along King St. with quotes from his video. First, who made these stickers? Second, where can I get some?!?!? Can someone do me a kindness and hook me up?

Photo A Day # 299

I received this email the other day:

We are second year advertising students at Mohawk College. We are on a mission to create awareness for those suffering from cancer, or those who have been affected by cancer in any way. A fellow classmate has inspired us to do this. He has had no choice but to withdraw from our program in order to take care of his mother who is fighting this relentless disease.

The Challenge:
We are asking you to take a picture that incorporates a heart in any way, shape, or form. The possibilities are endless. If there is a heart present in the picture, it is perfect. Don’t hesitate to be creative and think outside the box.

The Overall Goal:
When enough pictures have been accumulated, a video will be placed on youtube showcasing each and every photo taken. We urge you to participate. It is quick and easy but goes a long way. Be part of something great, and show your heart.

How to Share Your Pictures:
1) Join this Facebook page: Show your Heart. and have the chance to check everyone else pictures
2) Or send/attach to: showyourhearts@gmail.com

Your participation is greatly appreciated!

So I am showing my heart and I hope you will too.

Craig's goal for Movember is to grow what he refers to as "The Don Mattingly". If he actually pulls it off I will give a hat tip to his magnificence. You can donate to Craig's effort to becoming mustachioed here. Happy Movember!

Photo A Day # 296

I am always interested in trying out new things in my photography. This was one of them. No photoshop "bs" here, everything was composed in frame. I'm still shocked that it actually worked.

Photo A Day # 294

The Ol'Push Broom. The Fu-Manchu. Handle Bars. The English. And the classic Painters Brush. All valid forms of the majestic creature known as the moustache. Join me this Movember as I grow my moustache and beard to grizzly proportions for the sake of prostate cancer. If you know me and claim that "grizzly proportions" my beard shall never reach, well I tell you now that I am gonna give it my best shot. I know I should start with a fresh face, but if I did that I wouldn't even have a pencil moustache by months end. Please click here to pledge what you can. Thank you and Movember here I come.
