What possessed me to drive half way to St. Catharine's to take a picture today? Perhaps it was the hundred or so times I'd driven by this ship and always said I should take its picture? Maybe it was my uncle telling me how he always goes there to shoot? Or maybe I just needed out of the house? Either way, a road trip with the tunes blasting, my camera and myself, was a much needed adventure.
It's so refreshing to just be by myself with my camera. Taking way too long to set up a shot. Trekking into the bush to get a certain picture and not having to worry about stragglers. The only sound is the waves crashing against the shore and the birds chirping in the trees. It was magical. Sorry you couldn't be there but this was a much needed solo mission.
